Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for March 18, 2001
Transcript:
"Get Fuzzy." "By Darby Conley." "That's not funny." "So... 'MONARCHS,' eh?... You think you're better than me or something?" "Well, not because of my shirt, no..." "What is it? Why are you wearing it?" "It's an old baseball jersey, I guess I just think it's cool.. I mean, why do you wear your watch?" "It makes me feel pretty." "And Bucky, you were NAMED after a guy called 'Buck O'Neil,' who played for the Monarch, too... YOU were named after a Monarch, too, Satchel, didn't Rob ever tell you guys this stuff?" "I was named after Buck O'Neil, too? How -" "Satchel, Satchel, Satchel... you are so naive. I was named for Bucky O'Neil. Then you, obviously, were named for ME."
Buck O’Neil ought to be in the Hall of Fame. He also started the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. Love the Kansas City Monarchs. As soon as I saw that jersey, I knew, but I didn’t think it would go that far. Cool.
