Rob: What the...? What are you guys doing?! Bob: I could tell you that, but then you'd have to kill me. Satchel: He's sawing into Fungo's. Rob: Why didn't you just let him go through the ferret flap in your room?! Satchel: Well... He's a spy... I figured he'd want to go through a hole. Bob: You've got a door in your room that allows ferrets direct access to this house? That's the biggest rodent security breach this side of easter! Satchel: You've got a door in your room that allows ferrets direct access to this house? That's the biggest rodent security breach this side of Easter! Satchel: It's got a little bell on it...

¿Rodent? I suppose if a ferret can get through, so could a rat.

Well, I’ll be hornswoggled. Rabbits are not rodents?
Now, is Jimbob actually cutting into Fungo’s apartment? All this talk ABOUT the ferret, but will we see him again?

No, ferrets are NEITHER rodents or “lagomorphs”. Ferrets are obligate carnivores of the genus Mustelidae. Close relatives are otters, martens, badgers and wolverines. They are intelligent, cunning, and very strong for their size.
If you’ve ever had a good look inside a ferret’s mouth (or, for that matter, ever REALLY pissed off a ferret), there is no way you would ever again confuse them with rodents.
They have fantastically impressive carnivore teeth, not at all like rodents. And they have the highest jaw pressure in the animal kingdom behind those sharp teeth.

My guess is that in a cat’s view all these animals fall into the category of “potential food”. At least I am pretty sure my cat feels that way about them.

Ferrets are weasels, related to mink, skunks, etc. A rodent is a nice snack for a ferret.

For some reason, the phrase “ferret flap” always makes me smile.
