Back in the 1980’s I worked with some Native American tribes on a project. We had a series of meetings that started in the early mornings. They had some strange customs and sayings. One of the sayings that sticks in my mind is, “If you eat a toad first thing in the morning, nothing worse will happen to you all day!”
