Tried this once, in an English class. The assignment was to read a novel and write a report on it. Chose an Alistar Mclean book. Wrote the report as the book was written, ie. tyre for tire and the like. Got a C minus for bad spelling. Wrote the rest of the reports for the class exactly as the teacher discussed them. All A’s. Conformity gets good grades, not cleverness.
Although it did catch on in Australia and a few other places I was always disappointed that in the U. S. the first decade of this century was not called the Naughties.
