When I was young and foolish, Credit cards would offer no interest loans on new charges. THEN they would rail you on previous charges as all payments went to the new charge and all interest accrued on the old charges. An evil genius thought that up!
Just before I retired 15 years ago, I got heavy into debt with credit cards. Mostly fixing up my house to sell on retirement. I had a call from a debt consolidation company and he knew what credit cards I had and the amounts of approximately of what I owed. We talked a good fifteen minutes and I was ready to consolidate them when he asked for a credit card number. I wasn’t going to give him a number, I expected him to send something in the mail. He got so mad….I mean just angry as all ‘’get out’‘. It was then I realized he was trying to scam me. How he had so much of my information, I don’t know. I was just glad I knew not to give a stranger my credit card number.

666 is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel.
I suggest we don’t let Bucky know about this.

Love Bucky’s expression in the 7th panel. Satch really had him going for a change.

In the real world thinking that people will not harm you in any form is naive, scammers, schemers, skimmers… always be aware.

667 …. neighbor of the Beast?

Sez here 667 belongs to metro Baltimore, so it is reasonable to think that the devil might have popped in from Washington DC.
Not that the devil would live in DC…but he obviously has a large lobbying presence there…
