I think Gil’s not tall enough to see it. A scenario like this one once earned me a good spanking from my grandfather when I was three or four because apparently I just wouldn’t stop asking where it was.
My grandnieces are great at that. I’ll say, “Look at that!” and after a minute or so they’ll look up from their iPods and say, “Where?” The days of driving to Florida and watching for South of the Border signs are over (and the signs are lame these days, anyway).
Or maybe he doesn’t know old cars form new ones. But I remember the opposite happening. When I was young we saw a car that was maybe 15 years old, but my dad said it wasn’t htat old.. He was in his 20s when it was new.
