I have about ten boxes of those things in my basement. When I die my kids will say, “Why didn’t Mom ever let us play with these toys?” Then they’ll throw them out.
I’ve seen a book or two with prizes from cereal boxes through the years. Amazing to leaf through it and see how many you can remember. “The Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang car with the wings you cut out!” And oh, the cut-out records.
My siblings and I put all those toys in a box that we called the “sick box”. Whoever had to stay home from school because they were sick got to play with all of it. When the rest of us got home, it was put back up.
