I will miss Jaxon but look forward to a future Thorp appearance as either a Little League star in 10 years or as a troubled high school hoops player in 12. Or maybe a Burger Prince employee in 20.
Booby has a future as an arsonist. The kid knows how to burn a bridge. Much like a soap opera where one can stay current of goings on by watching 15 minutes a week, catching G.T. once a week could be adequate. Ground floor opportunity for Amanda marketing “Happy Pants.” Coach Gloria anticipates market penetration at MHS.
This is shocking news. I am shocked that a 17-18 year old boy would not be interested in being a father figure to someone elses kid. Maybe Bobby was only spoke to Darby’s parents as well because they were dating.
It’s not surprising that Bobby didn’t want to act as Jaxon’s father figure. But why pretend? Don’t pursue Darby if you don’t want to be involved in the kid’s life, too. Of course, Bobby’s no different from a lot of 40-year-olds in that regard.
not that I was looking back to the beginning of this storyline, but I have to wonder if the little boy’s name was a nod to the late Jack Jackson, who was one of the early underground comics creators, who signed his work “JAXON”

Is it the face staring out of Amanda’s pants?

And then Dinny shows that he truly cares about the kid and Darby sees past his goofy behavior and they live happily ever after. Fore!

Has Milford gone to a year-round schedule? Why are these kids still in school? Bobby comes across as more of a creep with each passing day.

Player player, don’t hate the playa. A future John Edwards at Milford High. Who would have known.

Actually, that line and the nervous look on Bobby’s face in P3 makes me wonder…

Bobby may have moved on but Dinny is still keeping his play dates with Jaxon.

And so on Monday there will be some casual reference to the baseball/softball season being over and then it’s on to some new adventure.

I bet you’re right. Maybe there will be kids named Siegel and Shuster in future stories.

My mistake, duly noted.

Gil Thorp strip of June 2028 will have the 2-year-old kid now an 18-year-old Milford punk.
chiphilton about 12 years ago
Hate to say @stupid idiot — anyway, you could be right. But it’s true that the Milford calendar doesn’t usually mesh with real time.

He thought she would be easy because she already had a kid. He moved on because she was not.
