First Jarrod Hale, now Jordy Castillo. Whose thunder can True steal next?

Maynard G. Krebs looks like he’s about to swap his radar gun for his fishing pole and head on down to Lake Milford.

High school kid throws in the 90s and Gil doesn’t notice? Wait a minute, it’s Gil. He probably doesn’t.

Gil looks like every shop teacher I ever had with part of his finger missing in P2. It appears he wants to punch somebody in P3. Of course if Tru decides to concentrate on baseball Gil likely won’t repeat as State Champion coach.

Looks to me like Gil is actually at the MILFord CC and he is talking to DUFFers (simpsons reference) about NASCARand the new crop of caddies!Cant wait for 2-a-days to start on October!

In P2, Gil has morphed into former Red Wing (and now Maple Leaf) coach Mike Babcock. And what the heck does Tru(e) have on his feet – riding boots? Time to head over for polo practice and be a two-sport athlete.

… because having scouts asking about you is such a bewildering concept to a guy who was an All-State QB as a SOPHOMORE?

Meanwhile at stately Thorp Manor, Pedro is firing up the blender as the boombox is playing Clarence Carter’s Greatest Hit.

I can’t believe I’m saying this…but the Boo Radley storyline was more interesting.

Bitsy is right. That really is a striking resemblance to Maynard! The other coach looks like Coach ‘Cut’ at Duke which is ironic since Coach C is known as a quarterback guru. Peyton and Eli both rehab with him when they need to.

WHAAAAA? The scout was referring to Tru(e) not Jordy? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you. And speaking of shocked, you shouldn’t be too shocked about the topic of today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Gil must be ready to punch someone since he is wearing boxing gloves in P3.

OK trivia buffs, D. Hickman also played a small role in a mini-series about the Civil War. Which one? Don’t recall, that’s how great it was; and for the Lone Ranger references: Kimo means little in Spanish. Sabe is to understand, Tonto means stupid. See what great respect they had for each other. “Unh, he that understands little.” “What is it, stupid?”

The scouts had him at 91. Boo had him at the coffee cafe. The cops had him dead to rights.

@tcar, bear, cjYou’re like three bullies sitting in the back of the class grumbling that Mr. Mop told you to behave. For crying out loud, didn’t you ever see “The Breakfast Club”? To paraphrase the ending, each one of us is a smartass, an art critic, a sports fan, a punster, and a literalist. Hey hey hey hey!
