In all reality , the Geek in P 3 who just witnessed Corina’s conversation in the hallway , runs after her and says , Hey Corina want to join the Debate Team you’re a natural !

Well, give him credit for trying an original pick-up line rather than asking for her sign or saying “I seem to have lost my phone number. Can I have yours?” Not that, “You going to the football game?” appears to be any more effective.

It seems that one hallmark of the good guy athlete in this strip is his guilelessness.

While his argument is weak, I still don’t get why he’s attracted to her, even before she opens her mouth

and we see that without even playing football, she’s a better blocker than he is

Will Thayer is a dead ringer for The Mayor, Mike Knappe. Will looks like he put on some weight from P2 to P3. Corina’s sarcasm is loaded with calories.

I can see why he is attracted to CK based on the drawing in P1
