Don’t team captains usually lead drills, call the coin toss and confer with officials on procedural matters? Get out of everone’s s**t and STFU Talley(Ho)
I suspect that the entire team will decide today that they need a do-over on that vote for team captain. It’s too bad that Mimi won’t be back until April.
I can’t wait to see how Gilpa and The Mimster wrap up all of this season’s drama – Pranit hitting clutch shots; Gordon Achebe’s transformation from defensive tackle to (extremely) offensive point guard; Captain Talley Ho’s Air Force aspirations; reckless (and ill informed) gambling; teenage drinking and whatever the heck Cami Ochoa is up to – with a tidy bow in time for the opening day of Milford’s baseball season some time in June.
“And we can’t have it! Unless of course you’re one of the better players, then it’s OK with me, the coach, the school board………but everyone else, watch out!”
My dream result: 1) Pranit bets everything in his Debit account on the Lady Larks. 2) The next day, two Seltzerettes take the Captain at her word and quit the team. The Captain gains support because 2 second teamers get promoted and 2 more JVers move up to the Varsity (with the R&W schedule they’ll be around long enough to earn their letters). The Seltzerettes improve their grades and start dating College boys leading them both to successful careers in the Corporate world (nudge, nudge).
What is going on in P1? Blondie is bumping fists with…Cressa? I’m assuming the intent is she’s giving the new person a welcoming fistbump, but the colorist thought it was Cressa’s hand instead of Cami’s. And speaking of welcoming, I am always welcoming people to read the daily issues of Mopped Up Thorp.

“I” before “team”. Although “team” does have an “M” and an “E” in it.

In p1 it looks like the players were heading to get their bets down for the third race.

I must say, I am impressed. She’s finally acting like a team captain. Who woulda thunk it?
