Michael: Grandma, how old does this car have to get before you buy a new one?
Grandma: That's what's wrong with kids these days! Older people know that you don't get rid of something just because it's old!
Michael: So we've noticed.
treesareus: Mine is three years old, gets 53 mph, and carries enough bread in one trip to keep the local food bank stocked for a week. Except the beeping when in reverse is on the inside where I already know it is in reverse, instead of the outside where it might warn people, I keep the buzzing to a minimum by buckling before starting and similar logical procedures.

the car is a classic and people are like a good wine, they get better with age……(most of them anyway).

I could only afford old cars and my clothes have NEVER been stylish! I still have most of my old clothes [even if I can no longer fit into them]

If it ain’t broke…. no need to replace. Besides, grandma makes sure that car is well serviced.

You certainly can’t get a convertible today that has the kind of room that old caddy has. Especially in the back seat and trunk.

Can you imagine those two kids having to share the back seat in a sub-compact?
