I can't believe how well my garden's doing this year. Looks like the Brussels sprouts, eggplant and rutabagas could really take off! So we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope. For an early frost.
she needs to go into business with the grand mother in Family Tree. Let those kids go without junk food for a while and those veggies will taste pretty good.
In my garden, it is the chipmunks, and they DO love my tomatoes. I am lucky to get any. At first sign of ripening, the chipmunks will pull them off and eat them.
Want to look for Brussels sprouts when our final Farmer’s Market comes along – I always make a big pot of veg soup with all veg coming from it (my garden mostly grows salad), but I’d like to not have to commit to an entire cabbage when I still have some from a CSA program I belonged to in 2009.

Stew them, add seasonings, and can or freeze them to add hamburger for pasta sauces and chili through the winter.
