A sunny day is perfect for a trip to the beach! Be sure to wear a hat, a T-shirt and lots of sunscreen while I sat in the shade underneath my enormous umbrella. Explain to me why we don't just go to the beach on a cloudy day?

I’ve found it is best to go to the beach later in the day, on a sunny day. At my latitude, that means anytime after 3pm. Both parents had skin cancer, but I hate messing with sunblock. If I wait until after 3pm to spend much time outside, I don’t get sunburned, but it is still usually warm enough to enjoy the water. (At least if the high was in the 90’s or higher during the day.)

Best of all, the pools and beaches aren’t as crowded later in the day.

Don’t worry about it, little girl. You can get just as overexposed to UV on a cloudy day.
