The power's gone out! That means I can't vacuum, I can't do laundry, I can't microwave dinner and I can't pay bills on the computer. I've been unshackled! I've been liberated from my daily grind and can choose to relax instead! Who knew that being powerless could be so empowering!

As late as 55 there werre farmers in NY that lived without electric companies. They pumped water by wind power all day long into a huge water tower, got news and farm reports on a battery radio that was also charged by wind. Most were very happy with what ever they had and what they were blessed with.
