    After eight or ten generations of this usage of ‘can’ you’d think it would be considered standard English. Languages do evolve.

    One of my pet peeves is when people say or write, “A apple…”, instead of, “An apple…”. Even a national radio talk show host started saying "a"several years ago. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
