My mother did this one year w/ the Christmas candy. She finally found it months later and it was no good to eat. Dad was angry because it was the expensive Pomeroy’s candy. Another time she had it packed and hid in their closet. Dad found it and snuck out pieces from time to time. When she went to get it out for the holiday, (hardly enough was missing to really be noticeable), she yelled at Dad because she knew he got into it because the boxes were rearranged out of order. I definitely got my sweet tooth from him. Yum.

The kids found it and ate it. They knew they could trust your memory.

After stepping on the scale this morning, I’m pretty sure I found her secret candy while sleep walking. And ate it all.
