Do kids actually still read from books? For fun?

Sorry, but the state legislature has banned so many books that there aren’t enough to let you have more than one!
when I was a kid in the 60’s, a bookmoblile came around in the summer. The librarian wouldn’t let me check out young adult/preteen books, so my older sister got them for me. I was reading at a 3rd grade level before starting school.
You nay not be impressed when you see the books they chose to check out!
Not a kid but love to read.
