Oh, yea, Mr. Teacher? Well, your typed words-per-minute is atrocious, and you don’t know how to update your OS. But you have AMAZING taste in green plaid shirts.

Technology is great tool, but a dangerous crutch. If your math is poor how can you verify someone didn’t tweak your calculator program to produce an incorrect amount? If you spell badly how can you verify the contract you’re signing says what the other person claims? Without reading and math skills someone will take advantage of you, and you likely won’t ever realize it.

That’s what a failing grade is for.

Technology can’t always detect when a user makes mistakes.

Especially now that we have AI to do our thinking for us! Listening to a biography video the other day, it became obvious, after about 10 minutes of the subject’s name (Barbara) being pronounced correctly when, suddenly, it changed to (“Berra Berra”) and it was spoken like a place name with emphasis on “Street” (Della Street), not a personal name!

They spend years teaching math tables and then it is all letters.

In the future we need to ban brain chips to prevent AI cheating in the future.

A lot of principals have no answer for that these days.
