Here in South-Central Texas (Austin-San Antonio) it has been running in the 100s and occasionally the 90s for weeks. The air conditioners here are designed to maintain an inside temperature as much as 30 degrees below the outside temperature, so when it is 100 degrees outside, it is at least 70 degrees inside. It will be a while before I need my coat.

I try not to subject my husband to my hot flashes. I don’t turn the thermostat down, and if I need a fan, I go to another room.

Hot flushes? I thought they were power surges.
