Didn’t they find a mastodon a few thousand years old which was frozen suddenly, and that stayed frozen ever since, till discovered now and some people even ate some of it??? Maybe just a story, but maybe not!

I know people that have done this. It’s one of the reasons food pantries won’t accept frozen foods from unless a store donated it.

If you don’t want it what makes you think it’s a good idea to give it to someone else? Unless you make sure the recipient knows it’s only good for soup ..if that.

If it is the usual water-chilled commercial bird and the wrapping is intact, it’s likely salvagable. Maybe marinate or brine it, then cook it slow in a covered roaster. Or cut it up or debone it and do something savory with it in a crock pot.
