We once gave our dogs new toys because we were going to have guests and didn’t want them to be underfoot. The whole time we were talking, the two dogs were squeaking their toys. They weren’t underfoot but they were sure distracting! We laughed so much.
We have two cats. They sleep all day when I’m home. The minute my husband gets home, they run to the kitchen and stare at the treat cabinet. HE gives them treats. They know it doesn’t work with me.
Smart doggie! And if it turns out she needs an excuse to get rid of the caller, she can use the excuse that her dog needs to go out, and you get a treat from saving her from the phone call!

My dog won’t let me talk on the phone. She barks constantly! I’ve tried everything. Nothing works.

That’s what our boy MECO used to do. He definitely knew how to work the system, LOL!
