Woman: It may be the last day of school, Dean, but comic books have no place in the classroom! To Mrs. Horn, hope you like this comic. Daredevil is my favorite. have a nice summer and thanks for being a good teacher. From, Dean. Woman: you spelled "Favorite" wrong. Dean: She likes me!
“The story isn’t finished until we get to see the other kids’ reaction.”
It’s Saturday. The week’s finished, the school year’s finished, the story’s finished.
Dean’s moment of vindication is private, but he’ll be satisfied with that. His distress yesterday wasn’t about the other kids thought of the comic book, but from second thoughts about what Mrs. Horn would think about it. Dean knows he’s a wierdo, but he’s a happy wierdo, and doesn’t much care what his peers think of him.(Deans one of the best characters in comics these days, IMO.)
