This story is definitely a rerun from 2004ish – the copyright date’s just been changed.

garfield, I’m still not convinced. Both Heart and Dean have referred to “the last time”, so this may be a sequel rather than a rerun. If you can narrow it down to something more specific than “2004ish,” I’ll of course withdraw my doubts.

They have been, on occasion, if Mark made some minor change to remove an anachronism. There was a continuity about the Neighborhood Winter Olympics that he reran, but he’d changed the reference from 2006 (or whatever) to 2010 (or whatever). Since the strips techincally had never appeared in that form before, the copyright information was changed.

Did some digging to confirm my own suspicions, Late July-early August 2007, not every strip in the arc has been repeated, though
