So Leia would be Scarlett & Han Rhett?

Dean would then learn about the “biz” part of showbiz as he negotiates between Lucasfilm and Margaret Mitchell’s estate.

Actually, that combination is not so far-fetched. They were both action-romances.

Could be done…after all, it was never specified WHEN the star wars action was happening. Could have been during the civil war here on earth…

Keep the original Gone With the Wind and just insert Jar-Jar Binks in all the scenes.

There’s some dialog in Empire Strikes Back that’s almost word for word from GWTW: “You like me because I’m a scoundrel.” “I happen to like nice men.” etc.

When was the last time you saw GWTW or read the book? I think you must have forgotten a lot of details… I read the book after I saw the film and I was so surprised how close the film was to the details of the book, including the settings, clothes, and songs that were described in the book. Of course, the script had to condense some things, but over all the film was extremely close.

What happened to “rewriting history”, Dean? Idiot.
