Heart: how come libraries are always named after people I never heard of? Why not a movie or tv star? Heart: I tell ya, it would be a lot easier going to the "Kristen Stewart Public Library"! Mom: I guess because Libraries are named after people who've made a real impact on our lives. Heart: Hello? Kristen Stewart?! Actress in all the "twilight" movies?! If that's not impact, I don't know what is!

Schools too. I can barely imagine my high school alma mater being named Detlef Schrempf High School or Lyle Overbay High School instead of just Centralia (Washington) High School.

You could try to find out who these people are, Heart. I know a place that will have that information…

When I was Heart’s age I knew who Eleanor Roosevelt was. Also Bess Truman, Mamie Eisenhower, Jacqueline Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson & Patricia Nixon.
