Yes, it is a made up holiday – but having been married as long as I have, any excuse to pamper my wife with premium (HUGE!) roses, and a meal at a fine restaurant pays dividends in keeping her happy, and that is all that matters to me. It would seem to me that your trolling indicates that you are living in your parents basement, with no idea of how to keep a marriage alive & exciting. Enjoy your pitiful life…

be more creative and get something beside red roses on v-day for crying out loud. they charge a gazillion times what they’re worth on 2/14 and something more original shows you thought about it. and some of us are living w/parents after having a life and a business thank you. the economy means some of us have to start over.

The drug store box of chocolates do continue to be popular it seems, I went into my local CVS yesterday and was surprised to find the place packed… yep people buying heart shaped boxes and twee teddy bears.

My wife appreciates flowers anytime, so I get them for her: anytime except Valentines day & Mother’s day. Saves money & keeps her happy

Ok, I guess their history of valentines day has been retconned. Whatever. Get some new friends, Heart.
