Age is a cure for other people’s opinions…. I’m old enough to wear socks with sandals if I decide I’m more comfortable that way, without worrying that others may giggle. I just bought a cheap hard hat at the hardwear store; I don’t care if I look like a dork mowing the lawn dressed like Bob the Builder — I’m tired of bonking my head mowing under trees when I don’t duck quite far enough. I’d be fine looking like Dean if that’s what I felt like wearing.
