Thanksgiving has food, food and more food.

It’s got it’s own Garfield special, too. But neither Garfield’s nor Peanuts’ Thanksgiving special is nearly as quotable or memorable as the respective Halloween and Christmas specials.

Sometimes Thanksgiving gets a meteor shower. (This year the timing is different, though)

How about a “Heart” holiday special? Anyone know how to use Kick-Starter?

Some years Thanksgiving also gets a meteor shower. Not this year, though. The timing varies. I saw my first two meteors on a Thankgiving many decades ago.

As someone who worked at a grocery store I can tell you NO ONE forgets Thanksgiving. In fact whereas Halloween and Christmas are only celebrated by some Thanksgiving is celebrated by all. Imagine working 11 days in a row 10 hour shifts each day with barely time for one 15 minute break every day. Rushing at top speed all day, offloading at least 20 pallets of turkeys, trying to fit 80 pallets of freight in a backroom that holds 30, going through 1,000lbs of butter in a single day (and that’s just the one on the cheapest sale), every checkstand open but lines still down the aisles, and all the customers are in bad moods. Oh, and a visit from corporate on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, every single year. The only thing that makes it worse is when they start paying Christmas music before Thanksgiving. The Christmas music playlist was so small you heard the same song 8-9 times a day.

Sometimes my birthday is on Thanksgiving, but not this year. It’s nice to have one’s birthday be sometimes on a day of higher significance, but not all the time.

She really should have shoved that turkey down his throat!

I have a sister-in-law who kind of got UGLY with me on Mother’s day, and when Thanksgiving arrives, I shouldform a big ball of turkey, dressing, lefse, whipped potatoes and other goodies and shove in down her throat, and let her choke on it. We might have to hit 911 for and ambulance, but that’s O.K. with me!

B.C. has a Thanksgiving Special that’s rare to see on TV these days, but it captures the 60’s-70’s feel of the strip brilliantly while telling a fun turkey tale at the same time. I wish it would air more often.

What a pointless concern. That’s all I got.
