t occured to me that in the current timeline, Dean shouldn’t even have been born until 5-7 years after Lucas altered the “Greebo vs Han” scene and the premiere of The Phantom Menace. So really, how likely is it that he would be such a Star Wars purist? I suppose he could have a father who made sure he saw the original prequel before he learned anything else about Star Wars, but it just seems a little implausible that a ten year old (?) kid would have such strong feelings about changes that were made in a franchise long before he was born

Are there any nine or ten year old kids who believe in Santa, or just some parents and grandparents who like to be fooled into thinking that they do? Pretty much all the kids i grew up around had it figured out by ages five or six, so then went on to play along for their grandparents, parents, and younger sibs.I recall when my hubby’s father was in his sixies or early seventies and was annually calling his grandchildren with updates of where Santa was delivering. They were both past the age of knowing, but calmly explained to me that they had figured out why he made such phone calls. Their explanation was different from what i imagined. They told me that he must be getting senile!

Where are Dean’s parents? Maybe one or both of them started Dean down this path and he inherited his love of sci-fi from them.

Aww, c’mon Dean…you’re in 4th grade. Every Star Wars is a great Star Wars,unless it’s the Star Wars Holiday Special.
