From what I’ve read here, I have to say something. Those grocery store olives are NOT the olives she’s looking for. Trust me on this. Visit an ethic market, one that caters to Mediterranean clients and see the difference. Some have them behind the counter in metal containers and some, the best, have them in barrels. This comic will get printed and framed and hung in my kitchen. But, then I’m Greek so we know olives and yes I drive across town to get good olives. l
Would love to know what non-grocery-store olives taste like. Black from a can and green from a jar is all I know. And I like green a lot better than black.

How do you propose, Heart, grocery stores get their olives? In the mean time, better tag along with your nanny to South Philadelphia for those olives.

Isn’t South Philly where Peter Clemenza got the cannoli?

Well, darn- now I’m going to have to spend an hour or so researching why South Philly has better olives……
