how did the kid acquire 5-year-old, stale jelly beans in the first place if he’s not into them?

I thought they had a better expiration date than that….Who knew?

I would never make that trade, even if the jellybeans weren’t so old, for two reasons:

    1. I’m diabetic, don’t need all that sugar; and

    2. I like oranges, so there!

Jelly beans are okay if you get them at the Jelly Belly factory and only get the flavors you like. (We had such fun mixing and matching our own personal mix. Who knew there was a Dr. Pepper flavored jelly bean.)

Been awhile since I have had jelly beans. I always liked all of them for different reasons and enjoyed each new and old discovery.

As the natter brigade would say, keep politics out of this.

So kid, you’ve been saving your vintage jelly beans with the idea that they’d appreciate in value?

I don’t know what jelly beans are like after five years. If I get a really huge bag of them, it might last five weeks.

    Mmm—jelly beans … a major food group.

I just found this comic and look forward to reading, since I’m also a big “Lio” fan.

Oddly enough, Heart was the exact same age in 2012 that she was in this 2017 strip.
