I have a Facebook profile, but I don’t do much political discussing OR arguing.

Good reason for running. Thankfully, neither my mom nor I have Facebook… but my dad has it shudder

I keep off of politics on Facebook. It’s not worth it. That’s what Disqus is for! :)

I quit FB over a year ago. After a period of withdrawal I now don’t miss it a bit. From what I hear it has gotten uglier than ever.

If I didn’t live 600 miles from my family, I would probably not be on Facebook, but it’s really the only way to keep up with my nieces and nephews. As well, I have had the advantage of making peace with, and becoming good friends with, a lot of people with whom I had adversarial relationships in junior high/high school, so there is that.

Last fall in order to combat the endless stream of venomous political posts on Facebook, I actually installed filters on my web browsers. At one point, my browser completely crashed because of it.

I joined so many animal groups that my feed is almost entirely animal pictures, which is much more pleasant.

It depends on what subject the argument is on. And with those political agents who put out the usual lies one must confront them for the others who just read it. Letting a falsehood stand protects it.

I agree with Heart, they don’t need to be around that stuff for awhile.

I’ve never joined Facebook. I do go to a couple of Facebook pages that I can view without joining, one for a local club which announces its events, and the one for Berk Breathed’s Bloom County. The latter is somewhat political, but at least it comes with funny comics.

I’m so glad that GoComics comments aren’t like that!!??

Go back and tell her this isn’t a political cartoon!
