Once when I was reciting Poe or somebody, my annoyed wife asked “Why don’t you quote Browning instead?” So I did. “I SPRANG TO THE SADDLE, AND JORICK, AND HE, I GALLOPED, DIRK GALLOPED, WE GALLOPED ALL THREE!” Or did she mean Elizabeth instead of Robert?
