No, WE physically grow larger, while the objects we are looking at (and complaining about being smaller) don’t change in size. And, a child’s wildly creative brain, combined with First Time Ever events, makes things seem bigger than they are. Which is the memory that is stored in the brain. Ergo; why is this so small?
I still have a pair of leather gloves that were the last Christmas present my grandmother sent me. I was six when she passed — can’t believe how tiny my hands were then!
I think it would’ve been a nice touch if there had been one panel of Heart with the tutu drawn in the older style (1998-2003ish) and one without the tutu drawn in the more contemporary style (as in earlier in 2018) before getting to her current model.

Everything appears smaller as we grow from being a small child because our eyes grow wider apart as the skull grows.

Try going back to your elementary school. They are very small nowadays. :)

Maybe one of the reasons that Heart’s mom is a single parent.
