Yeah but the thing is, some of those things aren’t addicting.

2015 – 1 year before the US opioid epidemic caused 42K deaths, and 2 years before a public health emergency was declared. Addy’s concerns weren’t unwarranted.

All of these strips are set in a single day, maybe two. You don’t get hooked that fast. She’s in pain… But Heart’s mind is confused – what does surviving dodge ball and square dancing in gym have to do with not getting hooked on paid meds?

You obviously never played dodge ball! And gym class also holds scooters, baseball, basketball, relay races…the list of things, for those of us who weren’t athletic or coordinated, that could cause injuries, is very long. And square dancing has stepped on toes, two left feet syndrome & collisions when somebody alamands left, not right!

Lord, I remember square dancing from my grade school days. A painful episode I’ve tried to bury.

As a parent of a child with chronic pain, the doctors always tell you the meds work best if you take them before the pain gets bad. Since you are only on these for a few days, I would follow the doctor’s orders. That said, the last time I was prescribed Vicodin, I cut the dosage in half and took the least amount I possibly could.

I really don’t like this new artist, I wish they would bring back Steenz…

BroszB4 this IS the original artist and creator of the strip.Take a look at the archives. This last few days is the first time I’ve read the strip in months.
