Do the stories start with the phrase, “Back in the day…”?

Back in my day, we didn’t have those fancy “neutron man” comics

Mr. Pitakis may be dead in a week, no more stories possible. You can read Neutron Man for years! Oh… That’s right. You’re going to read it once and seal it in a slab to preserve the M/NM condition and no one can ever touch it again.

Memo to Dean’s Dad: The ’80s called and asked for the “Boogie Nights” mustache to be returned immediately!

So, in the preboot, Mrs. Angelini was the elderly lady who would share stories of the old days with Heart, usually relating to something Heart was going through. While Heart was bored at first, she eventually got interested in hearing about Angelini’s life.

Angelini’s out as part of the recurring cast for the reboot. Now relax, I’m not complaining about that; Steenz already gave us a strip that shows she’s alive and well, and I still give them major kudos for that since they had no obligation to do so. It’s fine with me if we never see her again.

But I think it would be pretty funny if this Pitakis guy did become a recurring character who only tells stories to Dean that he’ll never be interested in and will never relate to his life. Bear in mind, we haven’t even seen him yet (and maybe we won’t), yet I’m hoping for that already. Basically, I just want Dean to have a bad time. :^)

What Dean doesn’t know is that Mr. Pitakis is a huge Neutron Man fan himself.

His stories are real though. Maybe even tales of daring do.

Maybe you could listen to each other’s stories and learn from them. I know, it’s WAY out there, but it might be worth considering.
