Reminds me a bit of Tiffany and Luann over on the old retro Luann strip which is currently in 1996. The similarities are that Tiff and Dana are both from wealthy families and the differences are that Luann usually gets the short end of the stick with Tiff while here Heart and Dana have transitioned from bitter rivals to frenemies to a couple of late tweens who actually kind of respect each other. Heart’s world is a much better place to be than the Luannverse.

Haven’t been reading the strip long enough or regularly enough to remember for sure.
Has this iteration of Heart ever been shown being anything other than self absorbed?
Displaying genuine humility, concern or caring for someone else?
I’m not saying she hasn’t, just that no instances come immediately to mind.
