In 1994, we rescued a cat we named Charlie. He was abandoned in our Overland Park KS neighborhood, & mostlikely survived eating food put out for pet dogs.
When we took him to our vet to check his health & have him neutered, the vet let Charlie roam free in his office area after surgery. Very few cats ever had this privilege.
Dr. Ott said he saw 4 large dogs coming down a hallway, with Charlie headed towards the wall of dogs. The dogs looked at Charlie, hers Charlie’s growl, & turned tail & quickly went the other way.
Charlie got along fine with dogs, including our Wheaton Terrier, only if she understood Charlie was in charge!
