Not an awful band name

I do not think that I would be interested in a cat rock group.

He should try renaming it Hot GarBiege.

I know that this is absurdist humor, but is there something that I’m missing? There are so many elements in today’s comic; the band name, the female cats playing flutes, the three gray cats in the audience… I feel that there should be a humorous, clever payoff with all these details. Unless the joke is just that only three patrons showed up to his show, so his latest project isn’t a very good draw – and it’s funny because he’s a cat and not a person.

Only Jethro Tull was able to successfully pull off mixing a flute into a rock band.

Groovy.

Years ago, I came up with my own band name called A.R.F., which is an acronym for Animal Relief and Fun.
