God also chose those who were the least likely to succeed in order to show his grace. Examples: Moses who stuttered. Saul who became the Apostle Paul was a notorious tax collector. David Wilkerson author of the “Cross and the Switchblade” who founded Teen Challenge", and Reverand Ted Place a vertically challenged person who had more energy than a Jack Russell Terrier on Meth. The last one I had the chance to hear he preach.

I remember reading an old SciFi story where a major theme was, In order to be a hero you had to have flaws to overcome. IF you didn’t have flaws, you couldn’t be the hero.

True, Rev, but not only did God choose flawed individuals, He chose the best flawed individuals.

And the fact that the Bible includes the flaws of these people gives more proof of its accuracy in describing those events.

The story of Job is horrifying. I’m always surprised when people say they find it “uplifting”.
