I have always done that. Now my Uncle Willy used to put black pepper on his cantaloupe/musk melon.
Or pineapple on pizza. (ducks and heads for the door)
That seems to be a characteristic of the uncivilised parts of the country.
Never tried that. Watermelon-flavored things taste wonderful but watermelon by itself is like 95% water and 5% melon. Maybe some salt will fix that.
Try it next time. It does make it sweeter, oddly enough…
Guess I’m just from the wrong part of the country!
I’ve never heard of this, but I do salt tomatoes.
EEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!
I’ve never heard of anyone who DIDN’T put salt on watermelon. I thought it was a law or something…
In the compilation of stories called Revenge of the Lawn, there’s a story about a guy who put pepper on tomatoes
