There are all kinds of special clubs, and you’d be amazed at who would join them.

Many years ago, as I was doing a Xn ministry in a small town north of here, I happened to be elected to be the president of the local ministers association. We were fully integrated with multiple denominations and races. Another organization was formed that wanted to call itself the same as my organization. I informed the new organization’s leader of this and they quickly changed their name. The thing was, their organization was for black ministers only. I thought, naively, that none of my black ministers from our integrated organization would join such an exclusive association. Boy, was I wrong. All of our black ministers joined the exclusive black minister only organization while continuing membership in our integrated group. No doubt the black ministers saw benefits in belonging to each organization irregardless of the exclusivity factor.

There’s no such word as “irregardless.”
