I don’t gamble, but my rule on lending is the same as one might have for gambling: Never lend more than you can afford to lose. If I lend, and they pay me back, fine, if not, no major loss. $10.00 or so isn’t worth getting upset over.
If banks followed that rule, I wouldn’t be buying a car right now. We’d be in big trouble. However, based on the look of the person asking, I can understand the statement.
