Oh, Ji2m, I disagree. The secure lover takes the other’s utterances at face value, as being mutually beneficial. The insecure lover requires proof.
However adequate or even exceptional one might be, the TRUTH is sometimes “It was better last week” or “This is nice and all, but my mind is elsewhere right now” or even “I saw this guy at the grocery store today…”
There’s little or nothing to be gained by being completely honest in that situation. It’s better dealt with before or after.
