Please, all the agency does is line you up for a job, even if it’s just temporary. Its your job to keep that job for however long the job is supposed to last. That means you work while their on vacation if you have a job. And if not you can still try to find a job on your own. You’re more likely to find one through an agency as they have more contacts than you do but you can still find one on your own if you actually try.
