We had a new line of little ornamental animals priced between £.4.99 and £14.99, so I priced them with stickers underneath and displayed them nicely.
Later, I could see a woman out of the corner of my eye, picking things up, putting them down, looking at me, and fiddling about underneath items.
She finally came up to the counter with one of the larger items, but surprise, surprise, it had a £4.99 sticker.
Me: “Oh, dear. Some naughty person has been swapping labels here! That’s a bad thing to do; it’s the same as stealing, you know… It’s actually £14.99. Do you still want it?”

She just slunk away.
