That’s my personal pet peeve… when people get on, and it’s time for my floor, they sometimes just… stand there, as if they don’t see that the elevator stops at the floor and the door is open, to at least make some sort of “anybody getting off?” kind of gestures….
Oh, I do!…I say it, and work my way out, but I mean, the thing is that being in the middle of the elevator, you’re literally between a rock and a hard place… People’s ears aren’t always on, and a push is rude and aggressive… – And in some places, on paper, opening up your mouth and saying “Excuse me”, then moving towards the door is good, but the application in a busy workplace, especially when you’re dealing with “Executives”, or otherwise dealing with people who are “in their own world” and are oblivious to everyone around them, no matter how loud you open your mouth , is a learned operation…..other… techniques…. are required/acquired….. – Plus, I was just joking about the whole experience in a workplace elevator, both towering buildings, and busy hospitals….
