I love how the news trumpets that Black Friday shopping was up 1/2 of a percentage point over last year. If you go back 3 years, Black Friday deals where closely guarded secrets, leaked only on a few blogs. This year, with pervasive media coverage and specific deals released weeks in advance, the numbers were only up .5%. I don’t think I ever really understood the over-commercialization of Christmas until now.
How ‘bout the fact that many stores do over 60% of their annual business in only a few days? Maybe an economy based on supplying artificial demands is part of the problem?
Sorry ANandy, wrong again! The Asian Lady “Liberty” is holding a BANK card.
Even you can’t understand an economy based on the most racist and bigoted country in the world: CHINA!
Just as the Japanese did in the 50s and 60s, China’s motivation for turning us into a debtor nation [facilitated by the trans-national companies shipping American jobs to China’s prison labor camps] in order to prove their racial superiority. In another decade, just like Japan, their true motives will blind them to the excesses of their hubris. Then their GDP will drop to zero.
But I plan on profiting from their rise by investing in China until it goes bust!!
So perhaps there is a hidden agenda as to how come America imports merchandise and exports work to China, instead of making that merchandise in America and creating loads of jobs for Americans…
If China is getting rich quick with American buisness, then holding America in debt, pull out already and stop bowing and watching China build itself up so big, that when it falls, it has a great fall. So long great wall.
