After a majority of college leagues have cancelled their seasons, any who don’t are clearly more concerned about the money it brings colleges than the safety of the players, coaches and fans.
College “sports” have no association with higher education at all – they are merely “farm” teams for the professional sector, who understand that they’ll never be able to replicate the “farm” teams of Major League Baseball, otherwise.
Remember, the origins of college athletics was to engage the academic student body in healthful exercise! Toward that end ALL students were, at one time, encouraged to participate in college athletics.
The goal, at one time, was healthful exercise – not a winning team who’s MAIN purpose was to attract alumni dollars.
Only 1 Black Player ? must be Harvard . I only played 4 years of High School Ball and at 60 walking is a challenge can’t imagine playing 8 years or more. I was brought to tears watching the movie “Concussion” I suffered a minimum of 20 in 4 years CTE is a real worry. Football is was insanely violent the way we played in the 1970’s.
Not to raise a relevant issue, but what percentage of first rate college players are Black? Shouldn’t there be at least one here? And how many are on scholarships?

This confirms suspicions I’ve had for years about college athletes! Specifically football players.

High schools spent all their money on football stadiums, forgot about education and now they can’t use the multi million dollar football stadiums.

It always amazes me when a football player shows signs of reason and intelligence. You’d think that would have been knocked out of them.

I’ll miss it. About as much as I’ll miss the Super Bowl ads. Mm. Maybe not quite that much.

THESE are the college players that shouldn’t get paid ! Their scholarships appear to have been enough. Did Trump U. ever have a football team ?

I haven’t been able to sit through an entire game of anything at any level in decades. There is no way to measure how little this means to me.
